New Prime Drilling „Mini-compact drilling rig” for Holland Drilling

This week, the Dutch drilling company Holland Drilling expanded its machine park by the first HDD drilling rig in the "Mini" version, a PD 45/19 CU from Prime Drilling.

This year Prime Drilling presented the prototype of this new compact drill rig at BAUMA in Munich. Due to perfected design and optimised components the weight and sizes and thus transport and set-up costs have been reduced to a minimum.
Furthermore, due to its compact but powerful design, the drilling rig can carry out both small and large boreholes quickly and efficiently, which was an important argument for Holland Drilling.

During a test drilling of the prototype by Holland Drilling, the rig was able to convince the team and the managing director Ronald van Krieken completely. Both the newly developed, patented cable reel, the new control unit with a second display and innovative technology, as well as the new support system of the rig worked perfectly during the first test.

Among other things, the fully automatic drill pipe magazine with 32 drill pipes (144 m) and the integrated mud pump with a volume of 1000 l / min were convincing and were decisive for Holland Drilling to choose PD.

The managing director of Holland Drilling Ronald van Krieken is also looking forward to the new rig: "With this new, powerful rig, we are expanding our range of rigs in such a way that we are well prepared for our ever increasing challenges."

Werner Wurm, Managing Director of Prime Drilling, is also glad: “We are delighted that our new PD rig has been met with a positive response by our customers. We are especially pleased that Holland Drilling, as a reliable partner of Prime Drilling, is getting the first rig of the new series and we wish them many successful drilling operations with the PD 45/19."
